Music Programs Do you love music? Do you want to share your talents? There are various music opportunities at First Church, and we'd love to have you involved! Ignited Ignited is a band and vocal group that leads worship at the Him@10 café service in the Activity Center. They lift God up through classic praise and worship music, contemporary hits, and everything in between.
Practice is every Monday, at 7:00pm in the UM Activity Center. Choir The Choir presents music during the 8:30 and 11:00 services. They bring special vocal music to the service, accompanied by the piano or beautiful accompaniment tracks.
Practice is every Thursday, at 6:00pm in the UM Activity Center. First UMC Tavares Choir also presents several special musical performances throughout the year, called cantatas, usually around Easter and Christmas. Celebrate the Arts If you enjoy music, but you don't enjoy being the one doing it, First UMC Tavares has an active Fine Arts Team that works to bring talented musicians from all over Central Florida and beyond right here to Tavares.
