Greetings Church Family,
I hope you are all well. I really missed all of us being together this past Sunday. This will be a trying time for us all. Yet, this will also be a time for believers to show the world the power of our faith in Jesus.
As Christians, here are a few ways to keep our focus on God’s grace and not be overwhelmed by the threats the corona virus brings:
*Lift up your own fears and anxieties to God, while also praising God for who he is and thanking him for the blessing in your life. Then pray as specifically as you can for the needs of others.
*Set a specific time aside each day to read your Bible. This is one of the main ways God works his peace into your life.
*Make every effort to worship with us on Face Book Live this Sunday at 10:00am. Though we will not all be in the same room, we can all be together at the same time. We will tell you more on Friday.
*Please continue to give generously to the church and other Christian mission organizations you support. Not only will this be necessary to maintain your church in this trying time but it is one of the most tangible and powerful ways you tell God that you trust him even when the going gets rough.
*Call to check on friends from church and others you know. Be aware of neighbors who might need special care. If you cannot offer this care, call the church so we can try to work together to help people in need.
This is one of my favorite sections of scripture. I want to ask if you would memorize together with me. We will all say it together during Face Book Live worship on Sunday.
“Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”
To limit exposure for our employees, we’ll limit office hours by having the lobby door open from 10:00am-1:00pm Mon.-Weds.-Thurs. This allows for dropping off food donations, prayer cards, offerings, and to allow you to pick up anything you’ve told us you need. Please call the office for any needs, as we will monitor phones from 9am-4pm, Mon.-Thurs.
